We have had quite the adventure in Scotland – seeing the William Wallace Monument yesterday, staying in a c1854 High school (before being renovated into a hotel in 1990), visiting the Falkirk Wheel and the famous Kelpies before heading back to Morecambe and ending the day now – at almost 3am GMT! The following pictures and links should make up for everything missed today, will have more adventures tomorrow including Blackpool Illuminations, shenanigans, and imbibing once again!

Yes, ^THAT^ is an observatory, and YES you CAN USE IT!!!!

My first thought was the Wallace Monument was a disguised cell phone tower.
Scotland is a beautiful country. Hope you have a great time!
Amazing photos! Thanks so much for sharing them. Those stained glass windows, eh? My dad’s family was from Mull, and Scotland’s on my bucket list.
Nice photos. I hope you two enjoy your trip.
So, does the hotel still use the cafeteria trays and silverware from its time as a high school? For a while, an old high school near my Mom had some offices to rent and her and a few other businesses did. There was a restaurant that was in the cafeteria and they used the trays, etc. It was neat and they did have some good food.
