friday firesmith – the fate of america

Trump basically showed up with a couple of aircraft carriers, murdered some school girls then looked around for help.

No one was joining his gang rape of the Middle East.

Worse, infinitely worse, Trump, having declared victory after the first day, didn’t seem to have a plan for Day Two. Or Day Three. Or Day 68.

In the most terrifying moments that were sublimely comical, Trump tossed deadlines around like covfefe, TACOed beautifully, got banned from allied airspace, had meaningful negotiations with himself, and at the end of the day had was over four bucks a gallon and MAGAdom began collapsing around Trump like an overfilled diaper.

At this juncture, with midterms six months away and Trump relying on SCOTUS to gerrymander away minority voters, things look decidedly grim for Republicans.

And worse for Trump.

If he disengages with Iran after all the “unconditional surrender” talk it’s going to look a like Trump lost the war with Iran. But that was clear on Day One, wasn’t it?

Trump Lost the War With Iran is going to be the only headline coming out of this other than a ruined economy.

Worse, for Trump, the Epstein Files have not gone away.

Every day there’s new news, new horror, new victims and there’s New Mexico, where the bodies are buried.

Trump doesn’t have any cards left to play in the Middle East. Neither his bombs nor his bluster impresses the Iranians.

The traditional allies have abandoned him in favor of more stable and less violent regimes, like Iran.

China is backing Iran and destroying the American navy in the process. Taiwan is there’s for the taking. Trump won’t be able to start another war.

Basically, Trump is wishing for the end to look like the world did before the war talk and bombs fell. He wants a do over. Trump wants America to be respected by their allies and foes alike.

And, perhaps, sooner than Trump suspects, the damage will begin to be repaired.

But Americans have to vote Trump’s lackeys out of the government and elected people who will do right by the Constitution.

Trump has to be tried, and if convicted, be imprisoned.

Justice must be sought with vigor. You have to ask yourself, I would hope, what would Trump do to those who he had such a preponderance of evidence against? Rape, murder, corruption without end, and a war that eliminated any ally we might have really had in the Middle East? What should be the punishment for the dead little girls, the raped little girls, and the things Trump has done to hide his part in all of this?

America can still awaken from the cult nightmare and take the country back from Big Money.

It will not be easy.

I fear it will not be without bloodshed.

But without the reckoning of how Trump was able to do what he did, and without the Justice Department and Congress putting Trump on trial, we lay open for the next con man.

We must never allow this to happen again, or we have done nothing.

The Fate of America, now hangs in the balance.

Take Care,

Mike

  1. Many times America has given trump a loud and clear message: he is not only above the law, he IS the law. Whatever he says goes. After 34 felony convictions, january 6, etc. trump has been given permission to do whatever he wants without the risk of being held accountable. If trump wants to rip America apart for his amusement, what is stopping him? The more shit he causes the more his followers love him. I have no confidence in the future.

  2. Trump has shown himself holding all the cards. They are Uno cards and he doesn’t even realize that the object of that game is to get rid of all your cards. Never having played games with your children does leave one a bit short.
Playing Epstein Island games with other people’s children is more his speed.

    • You really have to wonder about a person’s personality disorder that drives them to seek only power, control, property, and money.
My daily life would be greatly improved by more income. But I am not compelled to screw someone out of anything for my benefit. I certainly can’t perceive of attacking civilians for a land grab. I couldn’t begin to displace people struggling to get by so that I could build and profit from a luxury resort for the neighboring despot.

    • Buzz, I don’t think Trump is playing with a full deck. He’s in deep trouble these days and he’s about to lose a war in Iran.

      • He lost the war in Iran and he knows it. As of now, he’s trying to find the lie that will allow him to say he won.

  3. Gerrymandering is done by both sides, each in their turn. It’s up to the voters to ignore the lines and cast their vote for the betterment of us all, not us individually.
Americans need to recognize that the media and the politicians profit from “us” against our neighbors. Voting is not meant to be like betting on the NBA playoffs.
We are not teams! We are working people with problems at work, at home, in our commute to work. Our bills get higher; our paychecks stagnate. God help us if we suffer a major medical problem or natural disaster.
But the politicians and media continue profiting. Think about that longer than you think about how some immigrant, doing a job you can’t or won’t do, is the root of all your problems.

  4. “America can still awaken from the cult nightmare and take the country back from Big Money.”

Only one party has put forth legislation to get money out of politics. And only one party has resisted such legislation.

Mind you, some Democrats are with the latter, but ALL the republiclans fight such legislation. With upcoming primaries this year, help elect the one who is for getting money out of politics. Hopefully, we can avoid future Fettermans, Sinemas and Manchins and get representatives that actually care about the people.

      • Beverly, we will get there but not on a whim – it’s going to take a conservative Democrat or a Progressive Republican to show that there is indeed life in the middle. Hell, Canada has 14 political parties and a tiered voting system. Ew!

        • What you essentially said is it will take a Republican or a non-existent individual. A conservative democrat is just another republican who curries favor with the wealthy and a progressive republican hasn’t existed since Eisenhower.

        • Just to further dispute what I see as your fear of liberal democrats…

          Liberal democrats want:
          – that you shouldn’t have to pay income taxes on their Social Security
          – unions
          – every American citizen should be able to vote
          – the same tax rate that Republican President Dwight Eisenhower so loved: 90% on the rich after they’ve made their first few million dollars a year. Or at very least, 70% with fewer loopholes.
          – help young people go to college
          – Medicare for all
          – break up the massive monopolies
          – rational gun control laws
          – comprehensive immigration reform
          – women should have the same rights and privileges as men
          – every minority should be treated equally under the eyes of the law
          – strengthening the social safety net
          – money out of politics

Polls show that a majority of Americans (51% or better) want these things–both right and left. Which puts these ideas in the in the middle, which the extreme right (which is every republican today) label as radical leftist ideas.

            • Why a third party which only help one of two we have today? But again, your provided choices either don’t exist or are a just a lite version of the one presently in power?

              • why not?

and I’m a fifth generation Southern Democrat – who wants his tax dollars spent back on the citizens and programs that benefit citizens – Liberals want green deals and sex changes

                • Kind of surprised at your beliefs. The sex change issue is a faux issue. The “wanting” of sex changes is not a reality. The wanting of those people who want that to be treated fairly is. Their lives, their choices. Nobody “wanting” them to do anything they don’/t prefer to do.

The idea of tax dollars for the people is the general platform of the Democratic Party, regardless of region. That platform believes in a government designed to work for the people.

As for green deals, not sure of your issue of trying to leave the world a better place for your children and grandchildren, rather than handing over a world environment that will eventually restrict the ability to enjoy their lives as you once had.

Look at it this way, if all the green technology came to fruition and the environment improved because of it, how is that a bad thing?

Again, a third party just tends to focus on narrow issues, which the Democratic Party already encomposses

  5. “Trump has to be tried, and if convicted, be imprisoned.”

Hopefully, a Nuremburg-like trial happens. Would be delighted if the end result was the same.

As I understand it, an impeachment followed with a conviction, makes that individual unable to hold ANY public office ever again. Hopefully, we can rid America of the stain of these sycophants in the MAGA party.

Would also be great if we could create laws similar to Germany after WWII to outlawing the use of symbols, uniforms, and slogans of this cult.

    • trump has been found guilty on all 34 felony charges and he is indeed able to hold office of president. A Nuremburg trial will not happen. Not even a slap on the wrist behind closed doors. The narcissist will be forever smirking, giving America the finger.

    • CAI, I am all for Nuremburg here in America.

It did wondered for Germany. I’ll even buy the rope.

    • Trump’s days are numbered, if his appearance and rambling are indicative of his overall health.
So the next Nuremberg trial will have to go after all his sycophant evildoers.
I whole heartedly recommend the net be cast over Texas, Florida, Ohio, and any other state government in league with the Velveeta Voldemort.

  6. Mike, you have a valid point of view about this administration. It appears the only “plan” involves impulse, fear, cruelty, and hatred in an u ending quest for other people’s money, land, and resources.
The MAGAlodytes have not reconciled their accounts to see that their chosen one is cleaning them out, and laughing at their full ability all the way to the bank.

  7. Everyday republican voters are the problem in America and i believe the rest of the sane world knows it. trump gone and the problem of hateful ignorant racist greedy thoughtless republicans is still there. that’s why the world may never trust any Americans anymore, they would be silly to trust an American. I’m so glad someone mentioned Fetterman and Sinema and manchin, as the likes of them in the Dem party is a nail in the coffin of sensibility and reason and trust in that party. seems there’s always some sellout willing to give in to the repubs for greed and hatefulness. How any decent person can even be a friend of a republican at this point makes my brain hurt.

    • Understand Manchin, Sinema and Fetterman were/are getting money to take the positions they did/do. But the Democratic Party is the only party where’s there’s a Progressive caucus with over 100 members who cannot take overt corporate donations. Nothing like that exists within the Republiklan Party.
