The police can get fingerprints and DNA of the person without much fuss.
Years ago after little success after trying to teach my young daughter what hot meant I pulled my bike into the yard and she wanted to touch the muffler . I yelled “hot’ but she grabbed it anyway. She looked at me and repeated “hot”.
Her sister learned on a toaster.
But they were only around three or so.
