It started with Reagan who put Bennet in charge of the Department of Education, who cut funding and took away Civics in education. Denying education to but only a few, maintains a better chance of control, thus by conveying the pain and suffering one must endure paying off school loans, it will help deter many from higher education rather than risk a lifetime of additional debt.
It also doesn’t help when the middle ground reliable news sites are hidden behind pay walls while the far left and far right sites are free.
