  1. My sister and I are calling in sick tomorrow to go have a long lunch together. Mental health comparison day. 😉

    • But that doesn’t make your life any better—just consuming as if there were no tomorrow and praying you don’t get sick with anything more than a cold

      • Some people’s happiness is when the rich get richer and everybody else suffers. Kinda like those who believe the measure of the economy is the stock market in which 1% of Americans own 50% of the stock. They seem to believe they can spend their 401k at the grocery store at any given time.

    • The debt-to-GDP ratio compares a country’s total public debt to its annual economic output, indicating the nation’s ability to pay back what it owes. Expressed as a percentage, a higher ratio means a country is producing less than it owes, making it harder to manage interest and principal payments.

      While the U.S. has a higher ratio, it’s not substantially higher than France’s (124 v 113).

Basically, your point is meaningless in the context of the initial post.

  2. In Spain, lunch doesn’t last an hour. We have the meal itself and the after-lunch chat ( Sobremesa) , which together can last an hour two or more
