1. That penthouse may seem affordable, but the HOA fees are $5,000.00 per month.

   I like ours–it is optional.

   I remember seeing a 500 or 600 square foot cottage in Charlestown, SC, about 1/2 block from the ocean for a little over $3 million.

   • Not to mention last year’s tax assessment of $1,574,400. No thanks.
