Elvis would have been 75 today

Elvis oldElvis would be 75 today if he were still alive.  Elvis died 32 years ago at the age of 42.

Here’s an age progression photo of what Elvis might look like today.—>

Elvis died in his bathroom at Graceland allegedly of a heart attack as according to one medical examiner report at the time.   Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley was visiting Graceland the day he died.  She was nine years old at the time.  After the death of Elvis Presley, Priscilla Presley served as executor of his estate.  The upkeep on Graceland cost $500,000 per year.  The expenses dwindled Elvis’s and Priscilla’s daughter, Lisa Marie’s inheritance to $5 million.  After examining other famous house/museums, Priscilla hired a CEO to turn Graceland into a moneymaker.  She was the chairwoman and president of Elvis Presley Enterprises.  Quickly after Graceland opened to the public in 1982, the enterprise’s fortune soared and eventually the trust grew to be worth over $100 million.  Graceland is now the second most visited private residence in the United States.  The White House is the first.

Forbes consistently ranks the singer among the top-earning dead celebrities, with his 2009 income swelling to $55 million U.S.. That fortune is only expected to grow with this year’s 75th birthday exhibits and a new “Viva Elvis!” Cirque du Soleil show opening in Las Vegas.

Below is a sneak peek at the Cirque du Soleil production of “Viva Elvis”.

Here’s a picture (below) I took of Elvis when he left Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis in after his final performance here in March of 1976.  Sitting next to him is his girlfriend Linda Thompson.  I found my picture in this review  of the St. Louis performance.

  1. Those assholes kind of plagiarized your photo… I would be kind of pissed… Is everything on your site available to be used under a fair use license?

  2. dk69,
It would be hard for me to complain about them using my photo when I do the same thing day in and day out. I do usually try to credit my source however.

  3. Jonco on using others’ pictures:

It was found on a blog, Stop cryin’ all the time. I always give a credit, don’t give me that “I’m offended” line.

  4. I think that he would still be a hunka, hunka burning love….with botox and a lot of plastic surgery. I like almost all of his music.

  5. I had several “Greatest Hits” albums of his as a kid. Good music compared with the garbage at the time and even now.

  6. The best artist of all time for sure! After millions of records sold they are still killing all the new younger aged people in sales. Simply amazing.
