My celebrity scapbook – Rollie Fingers

I’ve just stared using Picasa to organize my digital photos.  The other day I went through the entire database, and that took many hours.   knew I had taken some pictures of some famous people over the years but could never find them when I wanted to.  So when I ran across one I’d put a copy of it aside so I could share it.  There aren’t that many, but I think they’re sort of interesting.

Here’s Rollie Fingers and me
Rollie Fingers
I met him at a trade show in Las Vegas a few years back.

Rollie Fingers was a relief pitcher for almost 20 years for the Oakland A’s, San Diego Padres and the Milwaukee Brewers. He pitched in 944 games, had a lifetime ERA of 2.90 a,d had 341 saves.  Fingers is regarded as a pioneer of modern relief pitching, essentially defining the role of the closer for years to come.

  1. I love to meet celebs, got a whole wall full of 8×10’s(all women of course)some are just like us not stuck up Brooke Shields was a really nice person I got to talk to her for a little bit

  2. Yeah, Rolle is showing off his photo going, “This is Jonco, yeah, THAT Jonco, of Bits and Pieces!”

And his friends are secretly thinking, “Poor guy, he just can’t let go of his one brush with fame, can he?”

He did okay, on the mound, I suppose, but Infidel can say that.
