Reminds me of the book “Pest Control” by Bill Fitzhugh (and its sequel, “The Exterminators”).
In the book, the protagonist was cross-breeding assassin bugs to make a more natural insect killer. Very funny book on everything else that happened. I hope a movie is made of it.
