I guess more cat owners have to learn to say “pssst” more and loudly.
When they are kittens, you can also use a spray bottle of water and spray them as you say “psst”–this will teach them to behave more and listen when you correct them.
Our 16-year-old cat always liked to use the toilet paper roll as a scratching post/play toy, so we can’t keep the rolls on the holder where he can get them.
