Years ago, I worked with a crew that repaired bridges, and they told me the Alaska Department of Transportation had road signs manufactured with bullets already in them. The reasoning was people would shoot signs with no bullet holes in them but they wouldn’t notice signs with holes.
I might have to write about this crew. They had some strange stories.
