That’s pretty funny in a dark humor way.
I read an article years ago that said the reason the Titanic sunk was inferior steel used in construction and the captain ordered a full stop. If the ship had not slowed down, it would have “bounced off” the iceberg and, while suffering damage, would not have sunk.
The Captain was not on the bridge at the time.
