Holy shit! The Times Square ball in 2008 for the 100th anniversary was
6 ft in diameter and weighed 1,212 lbs.
That ball was used 1 year then replaced for 2009 with the current ball that’s
12 ft in diameter and weighs 11,875 lbs.
Twice the size, 10 times the weight? Caramba!
