  1. glad to see conan wasn’t involved in that. i mean, jimmy fallon is going to ask better questions, right? RIGHT???

  2. I’ve always heard these interview questions were pre-written and submitted to the show by the actor’s publicists. That’s why they always sound similar, even in radio interviews, and they’re always ‘fluff’… you never hear controversial questions about affairs, arrests, etc.
So maybe this dude’s people should stop making him boring.

  3. For a whole other side of Hugh, view the English series “Black Adder” He is in several episodes and usually plays a clueless “twit”. He and Rowan Adkinson are very, very funny.

  4. They ask him the same stuff, you’re right. “Ohmagawd he’s British!” I always give props to the ones that actually ask interesting things. Most of the interviews just get on my nerves.

Craig Ferguson is exempt, though, because he and Hugh go way back.

  5. I just felt like an idiot when I realized he was on an episode of FRIENDS and spoke with a British accent. I asked my husband if he knew HOUSE could speak with such a great accent and my husband sweetly replied “I would hope so… he’s only had about 40 years of practice.”

  6. Another one to look out for, to get another insite into his acting style, is Jeeves and Wooster, in which he plays a proper “toff”.

  7. Yet another old show of his is “A Bit Of Fry & Laurie”, a comedy sketch show with long time collaborator Stephen Fry.

  8. I feel that this was made just for me, I love this man. There’s a street nearby named Laurie that makes my heart swoon. I’m not obsessed. 😉
