Emergency room

The other day, I needed to go to the emergency room.

Not wanting to sit there for four hours, I put on my old Marine fatigues and stuck a patch that I had downloaded off the Internet onto the front of my shirt.

When I went into the E.R., I noticed that 3/4 of the people got up and left. I guess they decided that they weren’t that sick after all. Cut at least three hours off my waiting time.

Here’s the patch. Feel free to use it the next time you’re in need of quicker emergency service.

It also works well if you ever have to use a laundromat.

Thanks Deadeye

  1. NO SH*T go in any emergency room and its mexican central, the girl at the counter ask the wetback if they have any insurance, they say no,your tax dollars at work people

  2. “Your tax dollars at work” go to “work” for a lot more people than just Hispanics. TRUST ME. However, I’ve also heard FROM PEOPLE WHO WORK IN HOSPITAL BILLING that Hispanics (some of them, at least) don’t accept as much of a handout as you might think; even if they can only pay a few dollars a week, they actually DO take care of their medical bills…

  3. Most “illegal” Mexicans only use the free healthcare of maternity services. In reality, that’s not the expensive stuff. We’re funding the pregnancies of more LEGAL residents than illegal. Medications are actually cheaper in Mexico so from what I remember living in TX and CA, illegals would get drugs shipped in from there (or drive down for them) rather than try to get it here.

Anywho… Don’t believe everything your religious right wingers tell you. They are probably descended from illegal residents themselves. Or letting their own teenage daughters get knocked up to live on welfare. -_-

It’s America. We’re all immigrants, fucktards.

  4. The great thing about politics is its a way to deal with people without having to care about them.

I got a friend of mine, his wife is an immigrant they have two kids (born in america). They both work about 50 hours a week (at the same plant I used to work for). His wife’s work visa expired and her citizenship was denied so now OUR government is sending her to Guatemala. Leaving her husband and two kids here. Isnt that wonderful? Two kids growing up without a mother around because she made the mistake of being born in the wrong country.

I know a couple who run a shop right by my house. on the counter you can see pictures of their grandchildren. The husband is Christian and his wife is non-religious Muslim. If they get sent back to iran he will be executed for marrying her in america. They have managed to get by so far but are living in terror of the day that INS decides to revoke their refugee status.

Try to remember that we scream and yell about immigrants all the time, but they are not just a group. They are actual people.

  5. infidel, if I remember correctly, you live in the Atlanta area. I also live in the area and you are speaking truth to political correctness. In some areas, I would swear that all of the signs are in Spanish. All that is missing are the taco street vendors and the cliff divers.

  6. While I have no sympathy for “illegal” immigrants, I don’t recall ever needing to go to the emergency room and having the time or desire to ponder ways to decrease my wait time. I have never gone to the ER unless it was a true emergency, and have always been attended to promptly. I suspect that if you are afraid you will be made to wait for four hours, your condition is not truly an emergency, and would be better adressed at a doctors office.
I realize illegals, especially, clog up the ER(and btw if the INS really wants to find illegals maybe they could stake out the ER) but frankly anyone that goes to the ER without having a true emergency pisses me off.

    • Gary, It happens all the time in the inner city. Many people treat the E.R. as their primary health facility. And they’ll call an ambulance to get there because they don’t have a car or bus/cab fare. That’s just a reality many people don’t believe.

  8. ^ Jonco’s right…ER is filled with people with colds, flu, headaches, scrapes. Cheaper than buying a bottle of aspirin or bandades or kleenex at the drug store. It’s free for them, but you know what that stuff costs when the hospital dishes it out? But if that’s the way gss likes it, he’s gonna love what’s coming…
Personally, I don’t pay taxes to reward illegal activity, but I gratefully pay it for roads, schools, parks, libraries, national defense, police & fire service; you know, the stuff that benefits the people who pay for them.

  9. Let’s break down silly ass Sarah’s comments:

Most “illegal” Mexicans only use the free healthcare of maternity services.
Look up illegal, they shouldn’t be here at all and shouldn’t be using anything.

In reality, that’s not the expensive stuff.
It all costs the taxpayers money that we shouldn’t have to pay.

We’re funding the pregnancies of more LEGAL residents than illegal.
As we should be, if we are going to turn this country into a socialist
country, we should help our own first.
Medications are actually cheaper in Mexico so from what I remember living
in TX and CA, illegals would get drugs shipped in from there (or drive down for
them) rather than try to get it here.

Again, more illegal activity from Sarah’s friends.

Anywho… Don’t believe everything your religious right wingers tell you.
Paraphrase: I hate non-socialist religious people!

They are probably descended from illegal residents themselves.
There were very few illegal residents prior to the Mexican invasion.

Or letting their own teenage daughters get knocked up to live on welfare. -_-
Paraphrase: I hate them so badly I am going to hit at their children, even if I know better.

It’s America. We’re all immigrants, fucktards.
Not all of us right-wingers are immigrants, I for instance am Native
    American.

  10. Seems as if some bleeding hearts in here have never had to take a loved one to an ER in the middle of the night complaining of searing pain in their gut and had to wait 3 and a half hours to get some help. The reason? The United Nations decided to come in out of the cold and camp out for the night!

  12. well yeah there are people that go there for that reason but there are not as many as you think and we all cheat the gov one way or another

  13. gss – You need to actually visit an ER some evening and get a dose of the real world.
While you’re there, if you want more of how the world really works, chat up the EMTs…

  14. Deborah – After bleeding for well over an hour all over the ER waiting room, just to be seen, an EMT who kept seeing me every time he walked thru whispered the secret to me…So I told someone I think I’m having chest pains, and I got my 22 stitches el pronto.

  16. It seems I’m being misunderstood. When it comes to illegals soaking up our medical resources, I’m to the right of Rush Limbaugh, Neal Boortz, or Sean Hannity. I also have a big problem with Americans that will use the ER for headaches, sore throats, and paper cuts. The post was about a guy that took time to change into an old military uniform, and then find, download, and apply a patch from the internet. Any time I’ve needed the ER it was serious enough that I needed to be there asap. My point was that if the guy took all that time, was it really an emergency? As to it being the middle of the night I don’t know about other areas, but around here there are 24 hour medical clinics. If you have waited 3 to 4 hours for care, I have enough faith in the triage abilites of ER personel to say that they apparently didn’t deem your injury/illness as critical as you did. I in no way believe they would allow someone with a serious injury/illness wait while they attended to an ingrown toenail. If you’ve waited it was because there was someone else there that was judged to be more serious than you. If the person causing your wait was an illegal, that’s another kettle of fish, and I don’t have the answer to that… not that I have the answers to anything, just my opinions.

  17. I had to go to the ER once, and I had to pay for it…
how is it free for others?
I wonder what illegal Americans are called in Mexico….drybacks?

  18. I’ve only had to wait at the emergency room when I’ve said, “Yes, I took some Ibuprofen for it” because unless you’re dead, dying, or spurting blood, they make you wait long enough for the stuff they didn’t GIVE you to to wash out of your system.

But maybe I’ve just been lucky.

  19. Don’t worry people! This country is in such bad condition right now that the Mexicans are going BACK! I kid you not. This last year was the first year EVER that the amount of money sent to Mexico was less than the previous year. They can’t find jobs here anymore. If they’re going to feel miserable, then they would rather feel miserable in their own country, so many are heading back.

At least George Bush did SOMETHING right.

  20. Here’s the thing. You have to take the good with the bad. Cheap labor comes at a cost. I’m sure no one’s complaining about why a freakin chicken sandwich only costs $1 at your favorite fast food restaurant or complain about the illegal who’s building your house that saves you thousands of dollars.

Besides, who cares? Every human, regardless of their legal status, deserves health care. If you’re selfish enough to think that you should be seen first cause you pay more taxes or happen to have legal status, I feel sorry for you when you get to the gates of heaven.
