Blind woman catches 214 pound catfish
A 56 year-old grandmother has entered the record books after catching the biggest ever freshwater fish by a British woman – a 214 pound (15st 4lb) catfish.
Sheila Penfold, who stands at just 5ft 3in and is registered blind, was nearly dragged into the river when the monster catfish took her bait during a holiday in Spain.
She had to be directed by husband Alan and son Arthur as she fought for 30 minutes to land the prized catch.
A different kind of clock
It’s a clock, but instead of having ticking hands, there is a guy behind the glass with a marker changing the time every minute by hand. Only thing is, there is no man behind the clock. It’s a flatscreen that plays a 24 hour loop of this video by the Dutch designer Maarten Baas watching his own clock somewhere and painstakingly erasing and re-writing each minute.
