I saw this strange vehicle while crossing Tampa Bay today. I’ve never seen anything like it before. Most trikes have two wheels in the back and one in front.

Goin’ to Branson – Yee Haw
We’re heading out for Branson MO first thing Friday morning on a motorcycle trip. Right now we’re getting LOTS and LOTS or rain left over from Hurricane Gustav. That started yesterday and it’s supposed to rain heavy all day today and then clear out of here sometime tonight. It looks like a great weekend for riding… hight around 80°F.
If you have any suggestions of things to see there let me know. We won’t have too much free time, but might squeeze in a show or something Friday night.
Saturday, we’re riding to Eureka Springs in northern Arkansas. We’ll ride home Sunday.
The Harley-Davidson Museum
We spent several hours at the Harley-Davidson Museum today. The museum opend last month (July) and will be put to the test next weekend when the 105th Anniversary celebration takes place. The festival will host bands like ZZ Top and Bruce Springsteen among others. We’ll be home by then.
This is the very first Harley-Davidon motorcycle. It hs serial number 1. It was made in 1903.
This is me on a model with a sidecar made for the army. They had an area where you could get on one of many different styles.
Here is just one of the unique bikes that is on display. It has two seats, two gas tanks and two engines.
This is me and my buddies checking out the Model 2 Harley. I believe this one was made in 1905 or 1906.

Riding to Milwaukee this weekend
We’re heading out for Milwaukee Thursday morning. The forecast is for rain in St. Louis and it looks like it’s going to follow us all the way up there. The green on the map is rain. (Light and dark green that is)
It’s 375 miles from St. Louis to Milwaukee. This is the direct way up I-55 from St. Louis. I’m not sure if we’re going straight up there or if we’ll divert to the Chicago area on the way.
Our main destination is the new Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee.
Anybody know any good places to eat or special sights you’d recommend… particularly in the Milwaukee area? We’re also thinking about Galena Illinois and/or Gary Indiana. I guess it all depends on the weather, how far we’ll stray from the direct route. (Who knows, I might even chicken out and take the car.)
I’ll try to post in the evenings. We should be home Sunday night.
