Patco’s 2nd Great Is On The Way!

We had a baby shower on Mother’s Day weekend, appropriately enough! Mom and I came up with a few games for the guests to play. But the best part, in my opinion, were the prizes. We bought a piece of cake and a slice of pie and I made tags that said “Having a baby is a piece of cake*” and ” Having a baby is easy as pie*” and in small print at the bottom: *for everyone except the parents!! Dave, Vince & Maddi did an excellent job with the rest of the party; cleaning, decor and foods. Fun was had by all and Logan & Joe got some nice gifts. For example, did you know they make an automatic formula machine – like a Keurig coffee maker?!
Depression era Water Pie

I like trying new things, and when I saw the ‘Water Pie’, I thought that will be a fun/funny addition to the festivities for an after Christmas get-together. Have any of you ever heard of this or tried it? I used some extra dough and made 2 little stockings, coated in sugar – but they overbaked. I’ll comment later how the pie tasted. -krisgo
