I took the names of those who commented in the last day or so and put them into the word list. You can click the puzzle to enlarge in and print it out if you like. I assume they’re all in there.

As you probably know I’ve just spent about 24 hours in Blogging Hell. My website host, GoToHellDaddy.com shut the site down because something was “causing the shared resources to be over-utilized”. They listed some php code which contained references to “comment_title and comment_author” along with other confusing but important (I’m sure) text that was causing the excessive CPU usage. My thought was that it was probably the Recent Comments widget that WAS on the right sidebar. I’ve removed it in the hopes that that will fix the problem. I guess we don’t really need that info if it was indeed the culprit that brought down B&P.
In the meantime I’ve been researching different webhosts just in case this continues to be a problem. If anyone has any suggestions of a good reliable host (that’s reasonable in cost) that can handle 20,000 – 30,000 hits a day without giving me these problems I’ll keep it in mind.
Again, I’m sorry for the downtime. Hopefully we’re back to normal. But….. in the event B&P disappears again it might take a few days to get up and running on a different host.

Look at the first ad by Google on the right side of the picture….
The Google ads are supposed to be contextual, meaning that they are ads that are supposed to relate to the content of the page. The post was the parody about dog depression.
Thanks rribbke
Alfred Sirleaf is an analog blogger. He take runs the “Daily News”, a news hut by the side of a major road in the middle of Monrovia. He started it a number of years ago, stating that he wanted to get news into the hands of those who couldn’t afford newspapers, in the language that they could understand. Alfred serves as a reminder to the rest of us, that simple is often better, just because it works. The lack of electricity never throws him off. The lack of funding means he’s creative in ways that he recruits people from around the city and country to report news to him. He uses his cell phone as the major point of connection between him and the 10,000 (he says) that read his blackboard daily.
How about an experiment? Let’s all write a poem. I’ll get it started and you guys each provide a line (in the comments) and lets see where it goes.
Bits and Pieces
From the bits and pieces of the places I’ve been,
Grew a new neighborhood of women and men.
Now it’s your turn… (just add a line via a new comment)
Gene Maudlin, better known as Hoss from the blog Old Horsetail Snake died a few days ago. Though I didn’t know him personally, I enjoyed his sense of humor immensely and would borrow his posts from time to time to share with B&P readers. I had his site in my blogroll for a long time.
Here are a few notices of his passing:
Things like this make me think I should make an effort to meet some of these fellow bloggers.
I’ve had several readers ask how to add their picture (avatar) to their comment like they see many of you have done. It’s pretty easy actually. All you have to do is:
That’s all there is to it.
I had the pleasure of meeting KLAW last night at a local event. He lives in the St. Louis area and we shared a beer or two… or three… or four… or eleven… oh, who’s counting anyway.
This was taken early on on the evening, while we were both upright. KLAW brought a designated driver with him which proves he’’s smarter than he looks.
Hexed or KLAWED?
This is a friend of mine with KLAW, but I’m not sure what’s going on in this picture.
