He had four blues under his right thumb (in the lower right corner) before he started, and they never moved. If they had been 2 or 3 different colors right there in that position, and they never moved, how could it have been solved?
There are 27 cubes – a lot of them (1/2 or more?) aren’t moving during this.
I think I agree with sam’s theory.
plus, a LOT of those squares were taken off and replaced. (you can see the edges where the stickers where messed with.)
Why peel the stickers when you can remove the blocks, and it doesn’t look tampered with??!!
its not legit. If you kept doing those moves from a solved cube, you would get a “scrambled” cube. But it doesnt work with any other (messed up) configuration of the cube than the 2 moves that he applied to scramble it in the first place.
A good analogy is that he tied a simple knot, left over right and left under and pull. And then told you that you can take apart ANY knot by undoing it left backwards under, and then left over left. It will not work with any other knot.

I accidentally a Rubiks Cube that easily. Is that bad?
Fake. But solving a Rubix cube really does consist of a certain list of moves. it’s not random, but it is complex and takes some puzzle solving brain power to do it. My husband can solve in in under 5 minutes. Son can do it in under 2. I can just mess them up pretty well.
Actually, you can use a ‘certain list of moves’ to fix any rubik’s cube, but some of these special moves may be up to 16 moves themselves, just to do something such as flip 2 corners.
Everyone above is right, this guy made a half-assed video that isn’t even close to correct. He’s only affecting the up and left face in the example.
yeah there so way this algorithm can solve the cube in any one of the 531,441 combinations on a 3x3x3 cube. I’m play the cube (on different sizes too) and after looking at the movement pattern it’s impossible for this algorithm to solve it from any position. Even if you DID solve that section under his thumb it still isn’t likely that you would get it. It’s actually a one in 12,150 chance that you might, get it.
I hate it when ppl post fake vids of solving a rubiks cube. If you actually put in the the time to learn, solving a cube becomes almost second nature and you can make yourself look good. The problem is that many people are too impatient to learn and look for alternative ways to solve it. I hate it even more when people who watch vids like this think that when i solve it, i just do it backwards. THAT is ridiculously stupid. It would be at least 5 times harder to memorize what you did backward then if you just went a learned how to do it using algorithms.
