  1. No, but I had a great Aussie Shepherd upon whom I bestowed the title “Sir Charles the Especially Cautious.”

Perfect friend. True gentleman. Plus, he ran to get Milady when he saw I was deeply involved in a myocardial infarction. Saved my dumb ass.

Everybody had called him “Charlie” before that, but he became Sir Charles, or just “Charles” to the family, after his heroic, “Mom . . . you gotta do something — Papa’s dying. Hurry up !!!!”

  2. We leave food out for the cats, so they can eat when they want.

The dogs were strays so they tend to eat too fast, so they eat from bowls that force them to slow down.

We don’t call any of them sir or madam, but one has the German “Herr” as part of his name as his name had to start with an “H” and the name our son picked out did not.
