Seattle isn’t Canada. Neither is Alaska. We will only be in Canada for a few hours at the end of next week — but we’ll be at a distillery/brewery for those few hours!
i see a distillery on vancouver island called “ryes and shine” (all but one of the distilleries i see in BC are on vancouver island). i am possibly visiting alberta premium (in calgary) later this year on a banff/glacier NP trip (hoping to go in late august/september

Too bad you won’t be in Canada long. Vancouver Island is beautiful and worth exploring. The sunshine coast is, too (a ferry ride from the Island or from Vancouver). If you do get on the Sunshine Coast, drive up to Lund–there is a bakery there that makes great blackberry cinnamon rolls–worth the trip.
