    • perhaps more paved though, and our maiden drive was Orlando to Atlanta, crammed with luggage in the cabin and my mobility chair riding solo in a tied-down, half open trunk. IN THE POURING RAIN. no leaks though, so that’s good

      • I am glad it was in pretty good shape to drive for hours.

        Of course, this might help you to learn to travel light–or as light as possible.

        Reminds me of a former co-worker’s BMW 2-door car (sorry, can’t remember what it was, but it was a nice one) and her husband drive that from South Carolina to their home in the Midwest. Luggage storage was challenging for them.

        • The convertible top operating switch had slipped off its ground wire and was inoperable. If we had been able to open the top, my chair would fit nicely in the back seat as our luggage fit perfectly in the trunk. Sadly though, between the rain and our being in the shelter of the resort front door, we were trying to hurry and get on the road.
