  1. Years ago i serviced an air compressor for a fence company that used a Chrysler industrial 6 cylinder flathead engine . It used 3 cylinders for running and 3 for pumping.
    It was a bugger to start in cold weather. But worked good otherwise. I can’t remember after fifty years but I would be sure that the pump side had a separate non-fuel charged intake.
