  1. That reminds me of a first-period class I had one year during high school. The teacher would assign homework–but would not always collect and grade it. So you could skip doing your homework–but if you don’t and he collected it, you would get a zero.

    Prior to the first period starting, there would be announcements–and many classmates furiously trying to finish the homework.

  2. It’s funny how we have been in the “information age” for a few decades now and people seem to know even less about what goes on in the world than they did before.
    I believe a Civil War soldier knew more about what went on in the world than some do now when they can access the information with just a click.
