Putin most likely travelled to Alaska for a few reasons: 1) he wants Alaska back; 2) he was able to check out a military base and report back to his generals; 3) He’s wanted for war crimes and if he flew over any certain European airspace, that country can escort him down and arrest him, (going to Alaska, eastward, avoids that possibility).
Since Russia sold it to us (the US), he would have to buy it back. And I am sure the price has gone up.
Any other way would be a mistake.
The solar collector does glow at night.
