friday firesmith – Russia’s burning bombers

We may never know how many bombers Russia actually lost but from the video footage the answer is certainly, “Plenty.”

Putin has to punish someone inside his security system for this and will. He also must wonder how in the name of Stalin were the drones delivered to the target site, and how long was this planned.

Who, Putin must wonder, planned this?  NATO? The Ukrainians?

Why,Putin must wonder, why did they plan this? One war or the next war?

First Strike Capability is wounded, severely, and retaliatory strikes will be weaker.

Surely, Putin must think, NATO would not invade now, just because Russian defensive capability is diminished.

The Germans and Poles line up on the west, the Finns are a long car drive from Moscow, and NATO comes in from the Ukraine.

Know what’s more difficult than beating American intel being used by Ukraine? How about an American armor division heading to the Crimea backed up by the US Navy using that same species of intel.

And if Putin is as smart as he thinks he is, now, at this very moment, he cannot afford to worry about what he thinks NATO might do, oh no, for now he has to worry about what they are capable of doing.

If they can, is that something Putin will ignore?

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Intelligence seems to be flawless. Perfectly flawless, in fact.

And the Russian military has no way of replacing the bombers for quite some time.

The world of Vladamir Putin just got rattled, hard. Now, he must think of a way to save face, to make sure his security people are punished, make sure there isn’t another box of yellow jackets waiting near his oil fields, and oh by the way, he’s in a war with Ukraine.

President Putin might be on the way out. I could see that happening. What he must do as opposed to what he’s going to do might not look exactly similar.

But I think if there’s more attacks deep, very deep, in Russian territory, Putin is done.

Take Care,

Mike

      • Boom,

I wonder. I mean, yeah, pretty much has to be, but who else has that sort of capability? And who else would want to see bombers burn?

NATO, sure, but they got eyes like that?

        • Ukraine had this attack in the works for 18 months. Drones were smuggled into Russia and placed inside containers, which were later loaded on to trucks. With the trucks positioned near Russian bases, the roof panels of the containers were lifted off by a remotely activated mechanism, allowing the drones to fly out and begin their attack. The drones had first-person view technology that allowed them to be operated remotely, probably from Ukrainian territory.

For obvious reasons, the US was kept out of the loop.

Important to note: Ukraine attacks Russians military. Russia attacks Ukraine’s citizens. Pretty obvious to see who the villain is.

  1. Ukraine and Russia – two corrupt countries fighting. Why should we have a dog in the fight–especially when one of those countries also has nuclear weapons?

And who in NATO besides the US has much of a fighting force?

Instead of potentially starting a third world war, why not try get them stop? Both leaders need to be stopped and/or replaced.

    • Ukraine was attacked by Russia. Putin did so, because he said he wants to get the old band together again. Meaning, he does not believe Ukraine is an independent country and is still part of Russia. Besides violating the Budapest Memorandum, one of Putin’s lackeys has already said once they get Ukraine, they will move to get more countries. That’s when you’ll get WWIII. If you want to end the war, get Putin to leave.

      • A group of countries getting together to do battle with another one to defeat it or change it–isn’t that the definition of a world war?

        • You seem to be confusing assistance with actual declared war to defend themselves. As it stands now, it’s Russia at war with Ukraine. If Russia wins there, they will proceed into other countries, which then creates the initiative for others to get their own military involved in order to prevent takeovers of their own land.

On the plus side, Ukraine has had several defensive successes. Russia has had small successes with land acquisition but not without severe high body counts in their military. If Ukraine could get sufficient help with weaponry, they most likely could win outright. Ukraine has the desire to resist Russia and have been strategically getting wins. An injection of weaponry could tip the scales more easily in their favor, which is why Putin is happy he has the circus peanut in the White House who easily bends to his will. Now, the rest of Europe sees the US as helping the enemy and they are slowly filling in the gap left behind by the US.

          • Who is the circus peanut, President Trump? How is he bending to Putin’s will? Also, the Russian military has lost 1 million men, thousands of tanks, multiple warships, hundreds of planes, and has been exposed as an inept and blundering military. If they should somehow win in Ukraine, they are in no shape to continue fighting against anybody. Poland now has a formidable army which would easily defend itself against a Russian attack.

            • Putin cannot lose this war, because if he does, he loses his leadership in Russia. Which is one reason why conscription has changed there along with having North Koreans fight for them. Yes, they are amassing huge losses of bodies, but they also gain small slices of land. Perhaps, as most leaders see it, as long as it’s not their bodies, the fight must continue.

          • If Trump bends to Putin’s will, how is it that Putin attacked Ukraine only when Obama was Prez (taking Crimea) and when Biden was Prez (invading Ukraine) but not when Trump was in office the first time?

            • “Vladimir, STOP!” is a hopeless teenage girls gasp to look as if an effort was put in to cease the violence. He’s threatened sanctions, but hasn’t. They were singled out as the one nation to avoid his silly tariffs. He waits on hold while Putin has more “pressing” matters. The circus peanut’s idea of peace negotiations is giving everything Putin wants and nothing for Ukraine. Or one can just watch how subservient he is in Putin’s presence.

There’s much, much more, but someone in the cult will never see the obvious.
