To be fair, this was just before they started finding out tobacco was bad.
I remember reading an old article years ago that was printed in the early 1900’s about how good and healthy cigarettes but they were compared to cigars. Even remember later ads where they had doctor recommended cigarettes. Or Ronald Reagan advertising Chesterfields.
