  1. This is the Crooked Forest in Poland. The trees were planted around 1930 and the form looks deliberate, but nobody knows exactly who did this, or why or how.

    I know that my granddad used large bent branches of a fir tree as runners of a rocking horse because they had the right shape already, so maybe something similar here: as raw material for furniture or boats?
