  1. I remember getting and using paper maps from AAA or at a gas station for navigational help before printing maps from mapquest.com.

    I also just got a paper atlas of Canada, the USA, and Mexico.

  2. we used to go to the AAA office to make ‘triptiks’ which were kinda awesome for the time… they had detailed notes on services at various points along the way and you could basically just flip pages and stay right along the planned route. and no folding required… that didn’t replace the massive pile of maps we had to carry in the glovebox that i’ve never once had gloves in but it was a wealth of useful info before we had mapquest

  3. We use paper maps frequently. emaps are OK to get from A to B but if you want to see what is really off the beater path. a paper map will show you much more.
