Because Southwest is a first come, first choice seating arrangement as long as you are on the plane early enough. What’s funny is that at the END of the journey, only 2-3 people need assistance getting off the plane and into the terminal.

Kind of reminds me when I go to the grocery store and people park in the handicapped spots then pass me at full throttle on the way in.,
