Somehow I didn’t have my first Creme Soda until I was a grownup, so I noticed right away that it tasted like Phillips’ Milk of Magnesia, except I confused Pepto Bismol for PMoM, so whenever I see Creme Soda anywhere I still think, /Pepto Bismol soda/. I see that Creme Soda has a market share of 5 percent among the soda pop flavors. That seems high. It is horrible. But apparently millions of people like it.

    Re: Pesto. The FoodMaxx grocery store in Rohnert Park for years had great pre-made pesto sauce frozen in plastic tubs near the bags of frozen meatballs, and cheap, too. Cheaper than I could make it myself. Pesto King! Pesto. The old man who manufactured it retired and had to shut off all his enterprises but one lunch restaurant. No more Pesto King! Pesto. Too bad.

  2. Creme soda is just vanilla flavored soda pop. When I was a kid I loved it but there were restrictions on my consumption back them. I rarely drink carbonated sugar water of any flavor now. I have to be self-restricted now. Unflavored Milk of Magnesia just tastes like chalky water to me.
