It’s strange Cape May down to Kitty Hawk is clean, something to do with geography and ocean currents I guess. But keep in mind this is where each storm first made landfall not where the most damage was done.
Right hjets, I don’t see Diane listed, but Connie which was only a week away from Diane in August of ’55, made landfall down in NC and the two of them tore up New England, trapped us on the mountain for 10 days until the Army brought in a Bailey Bridge.

Hurricane Diane hit Trenton NJ in 1955. Devastated the area but it’s not listed.
