  1. The Weather Channel stayed true to their audience? what? they became the documentary channel ten years ago and strayed from weather land…

  2. And don’t the Weather Channel and BBC still believe in global warming? PBS probably does too, so that none of them are staying true.

  3. Tim, no-one who knows anything about science and has looked at the thousands of of scientific, peer-reviewed studies on the subject has any doubts at all about the truth or the seriousness of climate change. The evidence grows clearer and stronger all the time. Here are but a couple of many examples: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=99888903 and http://www.redorbit.com/news/science/1832779/new_study_humans_are_causing_climate_change/. Nitwits like Palin and Hannity and the Faux News folks, who know nothing about it (and obviously don’t care to), can tell their sheep that it’s all a hoax, nothing to worry about, but anyone who doesn’t choose to have their heads in the sand understands that this is the most serious of all the many problems facing the world’s people. Holding one’s eyes tightly closed doesn’t make the onrushing freight train go away. Inform yourself.

  4. I’m with Acorvid on this one.
Here in spain, the Discovery Channel has – in essence – Top Gear (Brit muscle-car show), American Chopper (Rednecks fixing motorcycles), Storm Chasers (with their tee-shirts blurred out), Miami Ink (a dreadful show about tattoos in Miami)… then repeat.
    Let’s get dumb!!
