This is NOT a fish story ! This is a new record Northern Pike in Canada .. He caught it on Turtle Lake.
Check this thing out.. The man (in the photos below), was fishing and caught a 36″ Pike..
As he was reeling it in, a 56″ – 55 lb Pike tried to eat it !!!!!
He landed them both in the same net. The last picture is unreal.
Wow! That’s crazy. I’m emailing this to my fishing nut dad!
This is not a “new” event – it happened a few years ago. Big Pike eating “caught” fish is not unusual – it has happened to me with Walleye/Pike. One the Pike bites they DON”T LET GO !!!!
that is awesome!
Feed a man this fish and he eats for three weeks…
I love Pike fishing
Those poor fishies 🙁
We don’t have pikes in the tropics… I think. hm…
A double pike? Who is he, Jim Nist?
Gonzopozo (above) is correct, there’s nothing unusual about pike going for fish that are being reeled in & that includes other pike. I fish for pike myself & on many occasions I’ve caught one only to have it snatched off the line or bitten in half by a bigger pike as I’m trying to land it. I remember these photographs from a couple of years back & people trying to claim the location caused quite a stir, it was eventually narrowed down to either Holland or Denmark & NOT Canada.
Have some big pike photos 🙂

The big question is: Are they good to eat?
