Since it stores solar energy, I don’t see any problem with this solar powered flashlight.
Maybe Americans don’t understand that solar and wind power can be stored, that’s why they don’t support investing in them.
its just funny because it use light to make less light

No we dont invest in them because it doesnt work very well.
Actually, I have a solar powered flashlight that I keep for emergencies. It’s a lot nicer than the one pictured above, about the size of a standard 2D-cell flashlight, with 7 LED bulbs and a sturdy aluminum shell. I keep it in a well-lit place, and it will give good continuous light for several hours. Bought it a year or so ago at one of the drugstore chain stores, about $20.
Reader…Americans are not against solar and wind power. Speaker Pelosi (D) and Sen. Feinstein (D) are the ones fighting it in California, introducing bills to prohibit wind and solar power development in the middle of the Mojave Desert. And on the east coast, Sens. Kennedy (D[ead]} blocked all efforts to install wind turbines off the coast of Cape Cod. Sen. Kerry (D) was also against the Cape Wind project. (That situation could face a brighter future (R) after this week’s special election there.) And Obama (D) has refused to endorse or even comment on the nation’s first offshore wind farm off Massatoosetts, in Nantucket Sound.
I’m currently backing a smaller-scale wind project here in my town on county-owned land that straddles two communities, but it’s been rejected and is still being fought by our county commissioners (D of course) and small town politics.
I think what they mean is that it have solar batteries which can be recharged in day time and used at night. Very useful for long treks.
Solar power on a key-chain… ahhh… works great! As long as you don’t keep it in your pocket!
