A pre-school test for you

Already knew I was dumber than the fifth graders… but now it’s the pre-schoolers??

A PRE-SCHOOL TEST FOR YOU

Which way is the bus below traveling?  To the left or to the right?

Bus

Can’t make up your mind?  Look carefully at the picture again.

Still don’t know?

Pre-schoolers all over the United States were shown this picture and asked the same question.  Click on the link below to see what answer 90% of the pre-schooler’s gave.

“The bus is traveling to the left.”

When asked, “Why do you think the bus is traveling to the left?”

They answered:  “Because you can’t see the door to get on the bus.”

How do you feel now ???

Yeah, me too!

Headbang

Thanks Gene

  1. I teach preschoolers and honestly don’t think many of them could come up with that logical an answer… guess I’ll test that theory tomorrow

  2. Well, actually, I don’t think it’s going anywhere. I’ve been watching it for over an hour and I swear it hasn’t moved an inch.

  3. Leslie – don’t worry about riding the short bus. It’s ok to be a kid riding the short bus as long as you’re not the kid licking the windows on the short bus…

  4. I said to the right because I couldn’t see the “stop sign” that pops out when kids are crossing over. I would think that these stop signs are more readily associated to school buses that something as common as doors are. Hence, if this is indeed a school bus, it is moving to the right. Any other bus, to the left.

If a wrong answer is more popular, it doesn’t make it right. Just look at your elections….

  5. I definitely feel like an idiot. I called my four year old in to look at it, and he said Oh, it going that way! (left) I said why? He said “cause it is.” well why? I ask… “the door is on the other side” ..
