According to recent studies they are the most intelligent animal after humans. Even smarter than chimps, which can have the intelligence comparable to that of a 3 year old.
Thanks Jonco, that was awesome!
When they develop opposable thumbs, we are so screwed.
Actually, they are the third most intelligent beings–right behind a pan-dimensional shade of blue, and mice–who were aliens to Earth. That is, if I remember the “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” correctly.
Was that the voice of Winnie the Pooh narrating?
Also, I hope that lead dolphin doesn’t smack a manta ray or sting ray.
Those are some real fart smuckers!
That is amazing!
@Tim, the voice is the incomparable David Attenborough. I don’t think he did Pooh, I think the voice you have in mind has a higher pitch and a similar accent.
I read once that the Navy was actually training dolphins to carry small headsets and travel out in a search pattern to find torpedoes, submarines, and other underwater things via sonar. The dolphins would emit their own sonar, and the headset would pick it up and radio the information back to base.
It was a while that i read about this and I don’t feel like looking it up, so if anyone’s interested, feel free to update us on it.
Dolphins were to receive the designation of “world’s first non human persons” thanks to their high degree of intelligence. Anyone else hear this?
DO YOU HAVE A DORSAL FIN!!!!

HAHA! Too funny DJ. Hadn’t seen that one. (But then again, they’re both mammals)….
In the last shot one of them was swimming on its back for a while. I could just imagine it thinking “oh yeah, that hit the spot”.
