Well it states at the top the file is 617MB – if you are implying that his reallllllly big hard-drive is having a reallllllly big file transferred to it then you would be wrong…..
So maybe its a network problem as its not clear here is it?
You see its supposed to be funny cos its taking so long….
maybe your use of reallllllly unnecessarily long words would be funny if it made sense in this context.
Time to grab a snickers.
or a reallllllly big hard-drive
that’s what she said
hmmm IBM 486
lol@ Matt
skeev: Don’t be such a dickhead.
Maybe he’s transferring data to this http://www.nowpublic.com/technology/new-flash-drive-holds-50-terabytes
HOWEVER, i want to clarify that the guy who wrote the title and comment at the top knows absolutely nothing about the article. Just skip it and read the fainter quote underneath it. It has almost nothing to do with flash drives, and in fact is referring to a 50TB protein based DVD.
And Skeev, if you have a really big hard drive but not a very good computer, and your hard drive is nearly full, it could take a very long time for even a small file, because the computer has to figure out where to index the file in the Hard drive, and if its registry hasn’t been cleaned in a long time (or ever) then it would be ridiculously slow. In other words, I quote Rita: “Skeev, Don’t be such a dickhead.” (especially when your name sounds that much like skeet.)
If you look the destination is a UNC path so he’s copying it across a network. Chances are there is a network issue or that drive is mapped over a dial up connection. Either way it’s not happening any time soon.
