At first I was gonna make a smart ass comment about how American kids could learn from the resolve some of these Chinese kids have, but then realized how abusive they are to the children and my heart broke.
THIS
IS
CHINA!
this is true torture… i will look at all future Olympics differently now…
Make ’em or Break ’em. Truly cruel.
…and yet we fall all over our self to give those savages our money. They smile in our faces, take our treasure, and spit on everthing we hold dear, like.. oh, I dont know… Maybe NOT TORTURING OUR CHILDREN BECAUSE WE FEEL THE NEED TO PROVE WE ARE BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE.
just saying…

I wish Americans realized that so long as we allow our own government to continue to borrow money for questionable programs that we certainly cannot afford, the more in debt we will become to the Chinese.
sick, sick, sick I don’t think
I will watch gymnastics
with any joy anymore.
this is exactly how you should train…if you are about 10 years older.
honestly some place like cirque du soleil does the same thing. the differences is there’s no worry about messes with those development hormones from excessive training.
Malcolm did you watch the same video as I did?
You’re going to hate me for saying this, but…
What about the educational system in the so-called civilised parts of the world? Would any responsible parent allow their child’s grades to slip without intervening? Have any of those actions ever brought children to tears? We make children work hard during their entire childhood and even though some give their very best, only a few go on to do great things or achieve the highest earning potential. Is that cruel? If they give 100% shouldn’t they have the same opportunities?
Is it a coincidence that in these same “civilised” countries there are a disproportionately high numbers of psychologically maladjusted individuals compared to the “savage” nations? How many people do you know that have at some point in their lives needed to see a counsellor or a psychiatrist? Think about the number of friends you have that are insecure about their successes and failures; some even allow themselves to become bitter and twisted about them.
An adult is shaped by his or her emotional, physical, and spiritual upbringing. Let one facet be abused and the individual suffers. Children are naturally lazy. They resist training and discipline, but balance is necessary if you want the child to be their very best. We have a duty to prepare our children for life by giving them emotional courage or strength to cope with failure. Physical training, like a long walk in strong winds and rain, breaks our spirits. If this is done with love and wisdom we make children stronger.
I am not saying for one moment that what we saw in that video is what our children need. Far from it. The edits we saw were cruel. But do not judge an entire nation by one video with carefully selected scenes. The reality is that we can learn something from every successful nation. There is no doubt that China is a successful nation, so they’re doing something right.
This is truly heartbreaking
Sad enough to change the way we look at China’s Olympics triumph.
Euler…
Read up on the draconian human rights violation that China sanctions, and then come back and talk of “civilised” and “savages”.

However “uncivilized” we want to believe China is, they are already poised to take over the US as the supreme superpower in the world.
Like it or not this is why/or how they may rule the world
None of this is new, yet I always shudder to be reminded of it. I remember during the Sydney games, they told the story of one female gymnast — she showed great potential at a young age (I believe it was 3) and was sent to train thousands of miles from her family. They tried to visit once a year, but often couldn’t afford to do so. The family sold half their livestock so one parent to go to Sydney to watch the games. The team ended up getting a bronze, and the girls cried — they had failed in the eyes of their country.
Just sad
Well, i have news for a lot of people…
China, is number 1 right now……….
Or…. where is everything made?
And, they are number one, because of things like the ones on this video….
People working hard for a common target….
BE, the number one……
Yeah, they are kids, bla, bla, bla….
If the goverment of my country used to do that when i was that age, i could be a diferent person and my country should be a diferent one…
But, of course, that’s only what i think……
Anyone on here ever enjoy going to see Cirque De Soleil? Well, now you know what your ticket purchase is funding. Get real here people, this really isn’t all that uncommon, even here in America.
