  1. That was freakin’ sweet! I wonder how that guy made that happen? Do you think he had his routine down and hoped they’d put him on the Jumbotron?

  2. Maybe someone can explain to little old me … was that music actually playing or was he just dancing to nothing? Reason I asked is because it matched very well, but stadium music isn’t that clear?

  3. Most likely it was a recording of the feed to the scoreboard (Jumbotron) made in the control room. It would be a direct recording of the video with the music being played at the time. The reason I think it’s this feed is you saw the live video and music fade to the “Noise” graphic and back to the camera.

  4. Not that I am confessing to anything, but if you happen to attend a particular sporting event on a regular basis, you start to notice the music is highly repetitious and can’t help but bust a move… and, if you do it often enough, the guys with the camera start to catch on. 🙂

  5. Richard – “Cotton Eyed Joe” is usually one that gets people going at sports parks… and they invariably play a current mix of pop. I’m also a big Neil Diamond fan, so Red Sox games are a thrill (Sweeeet Caroline… ba-ba-ba)

DJ – no video, but I make an effort to appear on the Jumbotron at least once a game. So far I’m 8 for 12 at Bowie Baysox stadium, 3 for 7 at Camden Yards. It also got me my MLB game ball a few years back – Mike Stanton of the Yankees started making fun of me for dancing, so I flipped him off. He liked me gall and flipped me the ball. 😉
