the guy is son of a b…. Hope he will be punished by that!
Looks more excited than distressed to me. I know a border collie that spins in circles when he’s excited (i.e. when there’s work for him to do, border collies live to work) and that dog looks like a border collie to me.
I have seen 2 dogs not tied up do that before, and they would run to the road to spin, we drove by there alot…lol
a herding dog without a herd. that’s what happens- they compensate.
Well that puts a different spin on things.
I think that it is a herding thing; the dog is excited. I know a border collie who spins like that when he is waiting for you to throw a ball, or when he is getting the urge to herd the horses.
He seems to be enjoying it; he’s not trying to attack or get free.
I wonder if he/she is doing it because people make such a big fuss about it.
Border Collies are neurotic as hell when they’re unemployed.
You’ve got to be kidding all of you who think the dog is being punished. The dog is doing it’s job. It’s spinning to scare the escaping sheep( cars) back to the herd. If it wasn’t on the leash, it may do some other herding action, but with the leash on it’s doing what it thinks it needs to do. The dog probably looks forward to this on it’s walks.
