We’ve had the rating system up for a week or so now and I’m just curious if you guys are using it. Please take a moment and answer this poll. It will help me decide whether to keep the ratings or remove them.

I personally love the things you select to be posted. Sure everyone has their opinion that some things may be funnier than others….but I’ve noticed lately that if it has a low rating I won’t even read the joke, etc……and I don’t want to be swayed into not paying attention! (It makes me lazier…heeheehee)
I pretty much forgot that it was there.
I have an RSS feed set on the comments so the first thing I generally look at is the post or posts with the most comments.
Then, once I’ve done that I click the Home link and scroll down the page to see what else you’ve posted.
I just view items through the RSS feed unless I am curious about how people on here commented on them . . .
I enjoy your blog through an RSS feed so I rarely visit your actual blog. Keep up the good work though!
I do not really use the rating system, nor do I look at it seriously. I just read the post and if it looks interesting, I click on it to read further (if necessary) or add a comment.
I find the “number of comments” a good indicator, usually, of delving further.
So kinda redundant.
On the other hand, “ratings”, if low, may give Jonco an idea of what to not bother posting.
So do whatever, I don’t have a life, so I comment on useless things like this.
;-(
I usually view B&P through RSS feed…never use or heed the ratings when I visit the blog.
I’ve never used it and don’t want to.
What rating lol
never used it
I didn’t even know it was there. I visit once a day and work my way backwards through the posts until I get to the ones I saw yesterday. I seldom comment, but this is my favorite blog. Keep up the good work.
Jonaco – Looks like the verdict is in…
Jonco – Sorry for the spelling, but wait, my avatar has disappeared.
Maybe if you could click a link for top-rated posts of all-time. But even then, not much use. I read it all and don’t care what others think. Most of it’s funny to me which is why I keep coming back.
No never use it, but love the link to the graph thingy
Paul 🙂
I’m not a fan of the ratings either. The 1-star ratings seem mean-spirited.
It’s like on Youtube. If I like something, then I vote it 5 stars. If I don’t like it, then I refrain.
I find the ratings distracting, and like heehee, I don’t want to be influenced by them. But I am. It’s like a mystical power. Your blog (and now the one by Eva that you shared in an earlier post) is pretty much the only one I read. Keep up the great work!
