The great marshmallow experiment

The marshmallow experiment is a famous test conducted by Walter Mischel at Stanford University. Kids are given a marshmallow and told they can have one now, or if they wait, they will get a second one in a few minutes.

  1. HEY!!!! I want to see what happens when the lady returns… This is like a trailer to a movie. Kids are made to suffer, then, nothing!?!?!??! I want to see their expressions when they get denied or rewarded for their actions.

  2. Totally unfair, Jonco. It’s only half the story — and critical details are missing: how long do the kids have to wait? How many opt to wait and how many cave in and eat?

And now I’m totally craving a Fluffernutter sandwich.

    Unfair, I say.
