  1. Regarding some one saying “thank you”: when did the reply “you’re welcome” get banished from public discourse? I am sick and tired of saying “thank you” to some one and hearing “no problem” in return. Is this simply an idiosyncrasy of a liberal mind, or are any of the rest of you irritated by the “no problem” response? I would hope to hear from you if it’s no problem to do so.

  2. P in B – I agree with you again (*shudder*). I was brought up to ALWAYS say “thank you”. Replies now include “no problem”, “sure dude”, “uh huh”, “yeppers”, “right!”, “you got it”, “see ya”, a low grunt, and complete silence.

There’s right and left, but there’s also right and wrong. And hey–no prob, dude.

  3. Pau l – No problem, man. I totally agree with you. Make a note of that! In New York City, you would be challenged; in Philly, cussed out and in Atlanta, complimented in return.

  4. DJ, Methinks your agreement will not transfer from here to the “Why We Need”, but I would be thrilled to be proved wrong!
Richard, thanks for the support. Down here in south Florida, when I say “thank you”, I get “no problema” in response…

  5. I don’t say “you’re welcome” because I like saying “my pleasure” instead.

Infi, you look great today (and every day)

  6. Paul – Politics aside, I find I agree with you (or maybe you are agreeing with me) more than I would have thought possible around this time last year. I think it has to to with our age, our good upbringing, our willingness to listen, and our extremely incredible handsome manliness
