  1. Ana – the whole thing is that the US Federal Gov’t wants to socialize medicine, and there are many of us that do not want that. To get an accurate picture of the bill, here is the link: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.3200: (if this link does not work, try deleting the colon at the end–unintentional bur funny pun). I think the dividing line on this is if the person is more socialist or more capitalist.

j.d. – I like the sign that says that the person mistakenly thought that their representatives are supposed to read the bills they are voting on. How naive of that female to think that her representatives will do the job they are supposed to do. Myself, I think our representatives are doing a poor job–the least they should do is read the legislation and discuss it, not just ram it through and vote, hoping it will work.

Also find it interesting that Mr. Obama is going around having townhall meetings promoting the health care reform like he was still a Senator. Does he not understand that he is part of the Executive Branch (who enforces the laws), not the Legislative Branch (the ones who make the laws)?

  2. Most of these people are being coached anyway. That’s why they’re being made fun of. They DON’T have a clue about what they are talking about. Their local republicans just told them to make a bunch of signs and go stand there protesting.

    Pathetic, and it shows.

  3. Duuude – That sounds suspiciously like what Acorn and MoveOn did during the campaign, and is now doing outside these meetings in an attempt to stop the questions that Dems can’t answer, and to discredit the retirees, handicapped, veterans, housewives, and regular people, who are reading the bill, who show up to try to get honest answers.

Let me fix that for you…While people continue to attempt to participate in ‘democracy in action’, the lib organizations and union thugs show up… and “Most of these people are being coached anyway. They DON’T have a clue about what they are talking about. Their local republicans White House just told them to make a bunch of signs and go stand there protesting.”

  4. its true, we should get rid of all socialized programs such SSI, Medicare and Medicaid and in the process we should take the country back to the way our founders and constitution intended and bring back slavery, lynching, hanging, witch burning, etc…..

  5. Joe#2 – I must have missed the part of the Constitution that referred to slavery, lynching, hanging and witch burning. Please give me the reference.
DJ – We need to find out how “local” Republicans are orchestrating all of these protests without any coordination from the national Republicans. Maybe there are secret handshakes and codes involved.

  6. Richard: I haven’t been emailed or called or recruited by any conservative group. But the bill sure is the subject of talk when we neighbors chat out on the sidewalk and at lunchtime on the jobsites. And not everyone who is squicked by Obama is a Republican or conservative, either. Some of the people who worry about Obama’s plans for this country had Obama campaign signs on their front lawns less than a year ago.
I have received several unsolicited phone recordings from Mr. Kucinich (D-OH)! though.

Joe#2 – Citations needed on your statement about the Founders intentions. Your understanding of the Constitution tells us a lot…

  7. I never said those things were on the Constitution – I did said those things were from our past.

If you want to find out who’s organizing “these protest”, just goggle the many websites (e.g. freedomwork.org).

  8. Joe#2 – You just pulled an Obama!… we should take the country back to the way our founders and constitution intended and bring back slavery, lynching, hanging, witch burning, etc…..

  9. DJ – thanks for the links on your first reply. It is a shame that those who support the bill have no idea what is in it.

Jonco – that guy in the middle with the striped shirt is funny, but he could just as easily be talking about the people who support the bill.

Joe#2 – I agree, we should go back to more like the country was designed via the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the other Amendments to the Constitution. But for you, you are mistaken; all those things you mention were not part of what our country was about in its beginning: slavery was a state-level decision not federal, lynching and hangings (of black people) did not happen until what–the early 1900’s or late 1800’s?, and the witch burnings happened in the 1600’s–while we were British. Get a historical clue before you trash one of the greatest documents ever written that is NOT a “living, breathing document”–the US Constitution.

  10. DJ,
I’m a bit disappointed. You’re linking to an article in the Washington Times, which is owned by that wacko nut job Sun Myung Moon. The very nut job who thinks he’s a messiah, and started his own church. A wacko nut job who makes Fox News appear to live up to it’s tag line. dude, you’ve got to do better than that.

  11. DJ – One of the best things about living in Georgia is not having to make excuses for Moonbat Kucinich…

  12. He’s pretty way freaking strange…but I will admit that, altho I think he’s pretty much 110% nuts, he is the only congressperson I ever see out in public. I’ve met him many times. He and his first (of 3) wives (they were all mixed-marriages–all three were humans) showed up at my front door during his very unsuccessful campaign for Ohio governor back in the 80s, and I’ve since run into him several times at the county fair, the zoo, little events around town, and sporting events, both major league and amateur. He never hides and always has a firm handshake and a sincere, personal greeting when you come around a corner and meet him unexpectedly. And he’s not only out during the campaign season…you can bump into him anytime and anywhere. There is absolutely nothing I agree with him on…if he told me the sun rises in the east, I’d get very suspicious, and I think he’s whacked out beyond all reason, but I wish our other representatives were as easily approachable as he is.
