The American Time Use Survey asks thousands of American residents to recall every minute of a day. Here is how people over age 15 spent their time in 2008.

On average Sleeping, eating, working and watching television take up about two-thirds of the average day.

  1. No more than 1% of the population is ever using a computer at once? That’s so crazy! Man am I a freak.

  2. So when i leave for work 95% of americans are asleep, I leave at 3:30 am thought the number would be higher. The reason they dont have a sex category is that not enough people are getting it. So the effective rate would be like 0%. I blame this on you people.
