*sigh I guess I am the only one here that has ever done this and still has to occasionally. It actually isnt that hard. When I was a kid I used to do gymnastics a lot, maybe that is part of it.

Those @#$^#@ fire codes. Its a requirement that the smoke detector be installed at the highest point in the ceiling. What if your ceiling is taller than the longest ladder they sell at Home Depot?
