What we have here is a failure to communicate…. or a failure to use a 2 where an upside-down 5 is and a 5 where an upside-down 2 is. Or you can read Scott S.’s description below.
I took this picture today in Miami, OK. I didn’t get a picture of it, but the other side has another 2 flipped for a 5. Last week they needed more 2’s than 5’s and apparently ran out of 2’s, so they started using the flipped-over 5’s. Now prices went up this week and they need more 5’s than 2’s. Right now they have enough of the right numbers, they’re just too lazy to put them all in the right place. Blah blah blah. If you post the picture, I don’t expect you to include this rambling explanation.
Thanks Scott

lol
100% gas?
Doesn’t look like the numbers on the left would fit the sign on the right to me.
…but I’m over-thinking it, when I could just be laughing at it! 🙂
Scott – It’s a crafty ploy to get folks to notice the price of gas.
infi – The sign means that their gas does not contain ethanol.
Still a h3ll of a lot cheaper than ours.
Post by Scott: FAIL
sorry dude, but I live in south Florida, and the closest Love’s Country store to Miami is in Ormond Beach, which is 270 miles north of Miami. Your lie kind of p*sses me off, what do you have against this particular piece of paradise on our planet? Methinks an apology is due.
P N B…. here’s a link for you…. http://www.miamiok.org/
Comment by Paul in Boca: DOUBLE FAIL
Put your foot in mouth dumbass
yea, right, Deborah, everyone automatically thinks Oklahoma when they see “Miami”. But it’s nice to know you can use the google. However it’s not my nature to call people names, Debbie
You’re right.. When I saw in the post that it said “miami, ok” I thought “miami, fl”
You’re right, I effed up. I read it as “Miami, okay” rather than the way it was written. My apologies to you and to Scott and to Jonco. Does this mean I can’t play in the sand box any more?
For what it’s worth, I didn’t see the OK as Oklahoma either. I just assumed Florida. But I didn’t really care where it was, I just liked the picture.
Paul, you can still play in the sandbox… but we’re gonna keep an eye on you. You’rte on double secret probation. 🙂
Paul in Boca, you just have to share your snack pack with me 🙂
P in B – Around here, in the morning we sometimes find something smelly buried in the sandbox. Just don’t do that. We’ll be inspecting your paws.
Don’t know if this is too late in the game, Deborah, but I would share anything with you…. 😉
Send her your Visa card Paul. 🙂
The effing story wasn’t intended to be part of the post. I figured it was some way to entice Jonco to post the picture that I found humorous. No it’s not a marketing ploy, just about all gas stations here have the exact same prices. They are starting to get some of the numbers in the right places now. P in B, I guess everyone else took care of the misunderstnading. No big deal. And FYI, it’s My-am-uh. My-am-ee is the one in FL.
Wow. Scott, My-am-ee is the pronunciation in south FL for the newcomers, My-am-uh is how the multi-generational Floridians pronounce the name of this city. OK? 🙂
