We’ve had a couple of storms today. This time-lapse video covers about a three hour period this afternoon. You can’t really see the rain, but you can see the trees moving in the wind and the clouds were quite active. There were some tornadoes that touched down not far from here in Illinois, but you can’t see them in this video. Running time: 45 seconds.
They showed a bad storm on CNN over STL today and I was thinking
about everyone. Good pictures, Jonco.
your having to much fun with that camera
At the 29 second mark, I flew by, nasty storm.
im going to be 3 hours south of you in poplar bluff wednesday..hope we dont get any rain
Jon, what did you use to capture and compile that? Cool stuff
Mick, I used a Samsung HMX-R10 HD Flash Memory Camcorder w/5x Optical Zoom (Black) in time-lapse mode. I set it to take a frame every 10 seconds, and it ran for about three hours which resulted in the video. It uses a SD card to record the MPEG4 movie. I just popped the SD card into my PC and copied the file.
I then imported the fie into Pinnacle Studio 12 and added the titles and backrgound music. I uploaded it to YouTube and wallah! It only took about 15 minutes once the filming was complete. It is very easy to do.
Andy, for Christs sakes, that is tornado alley. Be careful.
